OH GEEZ! You think after a few weeks of physical work in the studio (full basement renovation) that you would be able to SLEEP at night for several weeks. NOPE! There’s been several nights where I’m WIDE AWAKE after 330 am! Thanks to perimenopause stages that I have been experiencing for the last few months! Insomnia and night sweating. The irony is that the night sweats don’t even wake me up, but the urge to use the restroom does and that’s when I’d find out I’m all wet from the night sweats, which usually happen around 330 am!
My body is so physically exhausted that my knees pain are at all high time but I’m just powering through them. to get the basement done! I haven’t really been able to do work in the studio. I’ve been able to maintain my Monday Night Lives with exception the last 2 but hopefully next week or two that I would be able to get back to my regular schedule.
I know once I’m done with the basement renovation then I gotta tackle deep cleaning for the house. I have not been able to REALLY clean because of all the dust coming up from the basement, LOL! So the house is really in need of good cleaning.
Jeff is heading out for the week to Alaska then he will be home for about 3 weeks, then he’s heading out again for THREE weeks which will be Miami and Daytona Beach. Home again for 3 weeks, then heading oversea for a week. Am going to try to talk to him into using some of his vacation time before Christmas and afterward to get that full 2 weeks vacation he really deserves. He’s been working overtime as well. Work has been stressful for him the last few months and helping me with the basement when he can.
Here’s a sneak peek of the latest studio renovation. I still gotta touch up the trims in this photo, but the area where I do my work is pretty much done except the middle section of the basement and the laundry room. I gotta put everything back to the walls so we can get to the middle section of the basement then it’s DONE! This is a HUGE change! The walls were bold coral color and the ceiling was just your nasty brown wood type. 1928 house here! Yes, almost 100 years old house!

BEFORE:
I won’t have the rugs in the basement anymore! Also because of that little flooding we had in the basement – I am opting not to have anything on the floor per why no more rugs that way I don’t lose anything.
THANKFULLY last year, I had the sense to invest in those under frame stands for my kallax shelves! WHEW!
I am so looking to the completion! I will have a dedicated area where I will have anywhere from 4-6 tables set up for craft night. Numbers haven’t been determined yet as I’m not sure how much of spaces I’ll have left once I get everything into its place.
I’ll add some final photos when the laundry room area is completely done. It should be by the middle of October!
Well, I am going to get off of here and surf the internet for a bit!
Until then!
